ABOUT RAILROAD CONSORTIUM

    Railroad Consortium is a fun, simple, and inexpensive standalone print and play game for 1 to 6 players.  Players are the CEO of their railroad and decide which other railroads to acquire in order to connect their railroad to new cities.  Connecting to new cities enables you to deliver more freight, which is how you win the game.  Setup is quick and easy taking less than five minutes once you have cut out the cards.

    The rules are in a large size 16 font and are kept to only two pages to allow them to be printed on a single sheet of paper.  Someone doesn’t know how to play?  Hand them the rules and say, “We will wait the five minutes for you to read them.”  No more excuses that the rules are too long or complicated for them to read.  

    While the rules are simple, the choices in the game is where the fun lies.  If you have poor cards that you might be able to eventually score with, do you waste a turn to risk getting better cards or do you play it safe and try to score with the cards that you already have?  You think you know where your opponent is going.  Do you acquire a railroad they need to force them to go the long way, or do you press on to avoid someone doing the same to you?  Do you acquire a railroad that you don’t need so that you can block off a section of the map and determine when the game ends?  These are only three of many questions that you will have to answer to win the game!  So what are you waiting for, give it a try!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• The ability to print the map, cards, and rules
• A set of colored crayons, pencils, markers, or other coloring devices
• A black marker or pencil
• Scissors to cut out the cards
• The desire to have fun
